I have been stitching my ' Tree Shadows' piece which has flowed, in a very organic, rhythmical way, through the machine.
I have also been sketching and painting,' A Sea Of Grass' my most recent work, which holds many thoughts.
Yesterday I booked my tickets for my Mum and I to visit The Festival Of Quilts in Birmingham.
This will be my first visit and I'm so looking forward to seeing the fine art quilts and a day out!

Your work is so beautiful, love your textiles and paintings so much! Hope you enjoy the Festival of Quilts and a grand day out x
your trees in progress are gorgeous and have a vibrancy that is so distinctive - and tactile-looking. I hope you enjoy the Quilts show.
I really like your latest work. Hope the Quilt festival proves to be a great day out!
You will not be disappointed with the show. wear comfortable shoes and take plenty of money. Love your work, so inspirational!
gorgeous new work! Quilt show sounds fantastic!!! enjoy
I am sure you will be inspired by your trip, ignore the washing!
Have a great day out at the Show. Comfy shoes are a must, buy a show guide and have a cuppa when you get there, it will give you time to plan your route round and check who is selling what you'd like to buy. I'm going to, staying from Wednesday till Saturday. All I need now is some money! :)
Who cares about the washing when you make such beautiful work. I'm sure you'll love the Quilt show. My ticket arrived this week.
Just so lovely, cheers Marie
"Tree Shadows" looks amazing, I love the flow.... it has a very delicate yet powerful sense to it.... cool!
oooh you;ll probably see my mum at the Festival of Quilts!! Look out for one by Gail Critchlow . . .
Glad the summer is leaving you to do more. I am on an official break which means immersing myself in all that I love!
Happy Holidays.

These images are utterly fantastic, M. Thank goodness the wash is not getting done :-)
The Festival of Quilts is wonderful, though the first time I went I found it very overwhelming (probably good idea to figure out what you want to see before getting inside). Sadly I won't be able to go this year. Have a great day with your mum.
I love the movement and proportion in your trees, gorgeous!
When I got married I decided I would never have an ironing pile/basket always sitting there reproachfully! I put clothes straight into the cupboards and iron as needed. Most fabrics these days need little ironing anyway.
