We have had so much rain this August, I can count on one hand the dry sunny days we have had.
It rained here for at least 48 hours non stop this week, so apart from taking the dog out we stayed in, this gave me time to work on my handmade felt, stitching my "August Walk" landscape.
If we get a dry day we hope to go blackberry picking, it looks like a good year which is maybe because of our wet August!

I love the winding road- it looks very much like our lane here.

It must be the year for rain everywhere. Love your stitching...just noticed the foot on your machine...I have one of those but did not know what it was for....will have to find it and try it.

Thank you.
This machine foot is a darning foot which is used for free hand embroidery, you can lower the feed dog and draw with your sewing machine.

yes, we can get very fed up with the rain and yet they say there is a water shortage and we have a hose pipe ban.

Just found your blog and it is most excellent. Does your Bernina foot get caught in the threads? They make one that has large acrylic circle and I find it doesn't hang up in my work quite so much. I love your work and look forward to taking time to look at your old posts.

I know the weather is such ashame isn't it?! I get so disappointed. I have just been to Devon and it was lovely there (but also lovely in London too apparently). I guess doing art work cheers me up.
I am fascinated by your working processes - dreams are a great inspiration for me too, but not nec. for art ideas :0
