This Could Be For You
Hi
I've been a bit slow on the blogging due to the Easter Holidays, having been busy stitching, drawing and...going out at every given opportunity for tea and cake!
On Tuesday I visited the Herbert Gallery in Coventry to take a few pictures to share with you.
My work is the one above the box with shoes, the landscape with trees, sorry not a great photograph.
As you can see there was some wonderful, inspiring work.
They have a lovely Cafe with interesting art work and sculpture, I like how you feel you are sitting actually in the gallery with plenty to see, including a patio area with more sculptured works.
I have more drawings and stitching to share which will be in another post soon, but first I want to say thanks for anyone who takes the time to kindly visit.
If you want the opportunity of winning one of my brooches from my still life series, just leave a comment before 8pm Saturday 17th April and you will be entered into my draw.
I hope you have a great weekend.
M x

Thankyou for the opportunity to maybe own one of your art works, in the form of a brooch. Much appreciated.
Congratulations! That looks like a really well-designed gallery. Tea and cake is always a good thing. Look forward to seeing more stitching and drawing :-) I really love your pastel drawings, by the way - they remind me a bit of a less urban John Piper.
It looks a fabulous exhibition. I really like the way you have incorporated the lace in this brooch.

Hi and it's still sunshining in St. Ives.
Just enjoyed a good read of your post and looking at the care and dedication you put into all your embroidery pieces. Good luck with the exhibitions.
Like you had a busy Easter and only just finished a good clear out of sand which gets everywhere and more when grandchildren come to stay!
I had the wooden dolls and just loved their ability to stand on their big red feet.(still got them and a few more along the way)
Take care, Carol x
