Floral Trees

Sold

Hi

Yesterday all sorts of mad things went on in my twitter account.

I had clicked on a link in my direct messages from a trusted flickr friend saying check this blog out it has your work, so I did!

Little did I know that it was a spam email which led you to an empty blog, she had done the same, which activated the link to all her contacts and when I clicked on the link it sent spam email to many of mine!

So please be aware, luckily it was easily fixed by changing a password but what a pain and I'm so sorry if you had all this rubbish spam in your inbox.

I have been making a few floral trees this week, using tiny pieces of fabric, "waste not want not" as they say!

Your tree brooches are certainly growing. They are all lovely. I see your Marshall and Snelgove box has been put to good use; I wonder how old they are.

I had the same thing (not from you, but from another blog friend/twitter contact!). I don't yet know what impact it's had yet. I had better go and check. I opened it in email not twitter

Your flower trees are lovely!

so beautiful! and love the way you have incorporated the fabrics with the stitching
at first, I thought it was all stitched, or maybe a few applique flowers

HELLO FROM MICHIGAN, Kayla what lovely flower trees brooches. A bit of a different look for your art. I also love the still life ones too. How unbelievable that the framers turned your lovely wool art back to front. You have to wonder sometimes. Good that they did not cause it any harm. I need to get My Bavaria Winter Wonderland wool felted framed to, maybe with a shadow box look. I have crocuses popping up from the ground. I truly believe Spring is just about here. Hugs Judy

these new pieces are very reminiscent of Duncan Grant and Venessa Bell.

Just love your floral trees, it's interesting to see how your work evolves.Gorgeous colours.
Once you start keeping all those itsy bitsy pieces of fabric, you'll find in very difficult to throw anything away!

I thought the embroidered trees were lovely before, but the way you're used the floral fabrics with them is even more beautiful. Really effective.

Hello!

I love your new work, the trees are beautiful and I like the backgrounds you have chosen.
Its sad that there are so many of those nasty spam things around isn't it - Im sure we've all been an unwitting victim to them at some time!

Sending love
