Stitched Landscape

I have been working on my landscape and it's getting there.
I'm finding the layering of colours quite interesting now and I'm going to find it difficult to stop!
This has taken so much time and I wonder how you could ever be commercial working to this scale?
Last week I did my first demonstration and talk on my work for a lady I know through my art society.
She organises different workshops every few months in her wonderful art studio.
I found it very rewarding and everyone seemed to have a great time experimenting with fibers and stitch.
Perhaps this would be the right direction for me, still for now it's back to stitching.

Such depth!!! I don't understand how you do it.

I'm a new member of an art society myself :) Hopefully it will be fun and lead to some interesting new contacts in the "real" world as well!

A lovely piece of work - so much movement in it - it really keeps your eyes on the move - love the colours too. I agree, I am sure that you will make a great teacher and those who get to work with your are very fortunate. Might you be available for workshops for the Embroiderers Guild in the North West Region?

Quite beautiful. I hope the idea of more workshops takes off.

Your landscape is most expressive and reminds me of the movement and energy that Van Gogh was so good at expressing. Enjoy the stitching! ;-)
