Wishing You A Merry Christmas

Our Snow arrived on Wednesday and within about an hour we had about 20cm of snow!
Unfortunately our boiler decided to pack up at the same time!!
I rushed out or shall I say trudged out, in all the snow, to get a couple of heaters and several hot water bottles.
It seems a lot of boilers have suffered in this cold spell and the earliest date we could get someone to look at it was the 29th of December.
So the last few days we have been wearing hats, coats and scarfs indoors with hot water bottles stuffed up our jumpers!
Then yesterday my husband continued to try and fix it and miraculously it worked, although we are not sure for how long.
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year without travel disruptions or boilers breaking down.

Oh no! My parents' boiler packed up last night - but fortunately the boiler man took pity on them (my dad is 80) and they have a system of buckets and pipes rigged up but at least they have heating now.

Keep warm, and Happy Christmas!

It is summer here in Australia and it is cold enough for track suits and ugg boots don't have a boiler though so one less thing to break down. Hope your has a miraculous recovery sounds expensive otherwise.
Happy Holidays to you

Oh, you poor things! We had the same happen to us two years ago and were very happy when the new boiler got installed (ours was so old that it was cheaper to get a new one).

I hope you had good Christmas despite boiler troubles and I hope it will keep on working until the weather gets warm again.

I fully sympathise about the boiler - the memories of our Christmas last year when we were without ours for three weeks are all too vivid! I hope you had a happy Christmas and managed to stay warm.

We ran out of oil last night, but luckily my husband was able to buy a small amount this morning to last until we can get a delivery. Let's hope that your boiler lasts a few more days. It certainly brought back childhood memories of the cold in winter.

What a time for your boiler to break down - genius husband for fixing it, and I hope it is still going. I can see where you get you inspiration from - the wintry trees are beautiful, yours and the real ones. Happy New Year to you and yours - keep warm and well.
