Yesterday I was very excited in fact jumping around the room excited!
My daughter raised her eyebrows and looked at me as if to say, who is this mad woman?
On Thursday I took two of my embroideries to Open 2009 at Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum.
This event is for anyone who lives in the West Midlands and work is selected by a panel of judges.
My handmade felt picture of a field was chosen.
You may remember it, here it is, as I was working on it.
I have just realized I have not taken a picture of it completed!
It will be at Leamington Art Gallery from the 5th of June until 2nd August, you can find more details HERE.

Your stitched field on felt is so beautiful - no wonder it was chosen. Wish I lived nearer - we are getting old and lazy in our dotage! Well done. Sadly my piece of work doesn't resemble yours in any way at all!!
