Working Sketches

On Sunday, a glorious Summer day I went out with my sketch book.
I sat in the long grass surrounded by the tall, waving meadow sweet and yellow buttercups.
The landscape felt fresh, the new growth vibrant in the strong sunlight.
My aim is to spend a lot of time in my sketch book so I have a good range of work to select and develop from.

You are SO insanely talented! Wow. These are not sketches; they are ART.

Interesting how your drawings already feel like stitched pieces... I love the windblown feeling!!

Wow. Those sketches are amazing.
You are able to grasp how it looks and feels at the same time. And make it look absolutely stunning.
That is not a sketch, it should be framed :) but that is how I feel about sketches very often.

I love your artwork or "sketches" as you call them. They are works of art in their own right. Are you going to exhibit them alongside your embroidery? I think you should.

I love sketch books - when I look at those of Jan Beaney and Jean littlejohn they seem to be real works of art. I detect the influence of van Gogh in your sketchbooks - i look forward to seeing which ones you choose to work on with your sewing. Lovely stuff.
