Threads & Trees

You may have seen these pictures on flickr but I thought they should be part of my blog.
It has rained here on and off all day and I have been sorting out all my wool and threads.
I always need some time between projects to think and draw and today has been a good time to do that.
I popped over to the Art Gallery in the Royal Pump Rooms, Leamington Spa yesterday and they now have my brooches on display.
It is a lovely gallery, opposite a beautiful park, so if you ever come to visit Leamington do take a look.
If you click here you will find a lot of information about the town and pictures.
I will post more art exhibition pictures in the week.
Bye for now.x

The standard looks very high, more like a degree show! I am sure you are a great inspiration to the students also. Well done with the sale.

Thanks for visiting my blog - I love your tree brooches and have had a lovely time going back through your earlier posts. The mark making sketches and red white and blue brooches are great. I like buying clothes from charity shops as I can never find what I want in retail outlets. Your stitched tree sketches are wonderful and the community art exhibition was very impressive.

Good luck with the work that you have on display at the art gallery.

The top tree, lime green on charcoal is gorgeous. The sickle around the edge really makes it stand out.

Just popped back to say I am about to read your article in Sew Somerset. My copy only arrived today as Rainbow Silks had to wait for new stock. What a fantastic magazine - full of inspiration.
