I was very lucky to be given all these old patch work pieces.
I was interested in the card and paper used to make them as much as the fabric.
A piece of social history all linked together.
I have enjoyed arranging them and making patterns,from the front and back.
These are from around 1973 and 1974, check out the hair styles!
I hope to develope this further.

Remind me of my childhood and even later when both Mum and I did this type of patchwork so not so vintage. Also commented on your brooches they are lovely.

I did my first patchwork in 1975,gave that one away but still have some bits. I never thought of checking out the papers.
