Tree Badges

Hi,
My Mum found these beautiful vintage silk threads and she knew how excited I would be to use them.
They are so fine and the mix of colours and lustre are beautiful.
So the best therapy for me is to keep busy and last night I started these tree badges.
Intense colours shining against the wool.
I also want to try out pattern ideas from this painting in my sketch book.
Shopping list Saturday will be on my usual Sunday.
We are off to take the dog for a nice long walk, the sun is out!

How sweet of Mum to find these for you! And yes, I can well imagine your delight in getting to use them. I like your combination of machine and hand sewing. Very pretty. And the sketch looks like long threads and yarns too. You will make it beautifully!!! I know you will.

Oh your tree badges are gorgeous, how unusual. I'm quite partial to the odd tree, they are so strong yet giving. What a beautiful selection of colours in your sketchbook. xx

Hi Kayla, Thank you so much for visiting my blog and Flicker. Your work is absolutely beautiful! I see what you mean by us both liking trees! You have an amazing talent, and the way you integrate your silk threads with hand dyed wool is absolutely breath taking!

Just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you and your family. I hope your husband finds something soon.

The silks are gorgeous, stay inspired and keep filling our sad old world with beauty.

I have read at least three blogs this week with husband redundancies in them. I'm so sorry. I hope it all works out for you.
Your stitching is gorgeous as usual. I'm sorry I had to de list the cuff almost the same day as you chose it for your list last week. It was needed elsewhere!
